Trabzonspor vice president Zeyyat Kafkas has confirmed he expects Enis Destan to leave the club in the near future after striking a deal with Hull City.

The Tigers have been desperate to add to their attacking ranks this summer having finished last season as the Championship’s lowest scorers, but have so far been unable to do so.

City‘s difficulties in the transfer market have been significantly hampered by the restrictions imposed on them by the EFL, meaning they cannot pay a transfer or loan fee for any player for the next three transfer windows, though the club has appealed.

Despite that, the Tigers are closing in on the signing of the 23-year-old attacker with an expectation that he will join on an initial season-long loan.

“There is a development regarding Enis Destan,” Kaftas told reporters. “We are evaluating the offer. We will decide together with our coach (Fatih Tekke). The transfer will take place within a day or two. We have offers for three or four players. We are evaluating them. There are offers for young players. We value their participation and playing.”

Kafkas has also left the door open for midfielder John Lundstram to leave Papara Park this window, with City in talks with the former Sheffield United star over a permanent move to the MKM Stadium.

Lundstram is under contract in Trabzon until the summer of 2027, but it’s likely he will negotiate his exit from the club and seal a return to England. “We are evaluating all of them. We will make a decision together with our coach,” added the vice president.
