The Drake pub, in Bodmin Road, Bransholme, has been transformed with a huge makeover, inside and out.

Mike Lincoln is the pub manager and said: “The pub already looks amazing and myself and the team can’t wait to welcome back both old and new customers to show off its brand-new look.” The Drake officially reopens on Thursday, July 10, at 6pm.

The Drake is part of the Proper Pubs stable and has had almost £300k spent on it. The scheme has included new furniture, flooring, fixtures and fittings throughout, plus flat screen TVs showing Sky, TNT Sports and horse racing channels.

As well as a revamped main bar area, there are two additional bars, including one in the lounge – which will host its own karaoke machine – and one in the sports room that will feature a new pool table and darts area.

The exterior of The Drake has also not been forgotten, with new lighting and signage and a spacious, wheelchair-accessible beer garden seating at least 60 people. Below you can see the first photographs taken of the The Drake’s new look.
