Hull City have not yet made a decision over the future of defender Cody Drameh, who continues to court interest from a number of their Championship rivals.

Drameh featured 28 times last season, though the former Leeds United man only started 17 of those and largely found himself understudy to skipper Lewie Coyle.

In the final 16 games of the season under ex-boss Ruben Selles, Drameh managed only 73 minutes of action, and his potential availability has alerted numerous potential suitors.

It’s understood that Charlton Athletic are the latest club to show interest in Drameh, joining Derby County amongst a host of other clubs in the Championship. The Rams, managed by John Eustace, are pushing hard to see the 23-year-old link up with his former boss at Birmingham City, while Nathan Jones is keen to bring him to The Valley following their promotion back to the second tier.

New City head coach Sergej Jakirovic is thought to have been impressed with Drameh’s performance in the opening days of pre-season, and the Tigers would be loath to lose the versatile performer.

Drameh will have further chances to impress next week when the Tigers head out to Turkey for their week-long training camp, where they’ll play two games against Turkish opposition before heading back to England for their domestic schedule.

The ongoing situation surrounding the club’s transfer ban further complicates matters. While the Tigers await the outcome of their appeal over their three-window fee restriction ban, City are not in a position to make new signings and replacing a player of his potential would be a significant challenge.
