The family of a Hull man who was brutally stabbed to death four years ago say “there are still people out there who know what happened to him that day”.
A renewed appeal for information has been launched as part of the ongoing murder investigation after 23-year-old Corey was killed next to Holderness Drain, off Harleston Close, on June 13, 2021. An inquest held in July 2023 ruled he was unlawfully killed but the person responsible for his death has yet to be apprehended.
Humberside Police remain focused on finding prime suspect Moise Djuku, who detectives believe has “vital information”. A £10,000 Crimestoppers reward is in place for information that leads to his arrest. There has not been a confirmed sighting of Djuku since June 15, 2021.
In a statement released to mark four years since Corey’s death, his brother and family said “there are still people out there who know what happened to him that day”.
They added: “Corey was much-loved by all of his family and friends, and we will never get over the heartbreak of losing him. He is always in our hearts, and no words will bring him back.
“We just want justice for Corey, our pain and distress will continue every day until those responsible face justice.”
Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) Detective superintendent Alan Curtis said Corey’s family “continue to grieve for him as if his death was only yesterday and they will be unable to move forward fully without knowing who was responsible for his death”.
He added: “Detectives have worked restlessly on this investigation, following up on all lines of enquiry provided to us and we remain committed to bringing the person responsible to justice.
“I want to sincerely thank all those who have contacted us and provided information. This has all gone to help us to gather intelligence to support our investigation.”

Detective superintendent Curtis says there has been a “huge police operation” to investigate Corey’s death, and confirmed that the focus “remains on locating Moise Djuku, who we suspect has vital information”. There are more details on the police wanted page here.
He added: “Moise Djuku is out there somewhere, I would ask again for anyone who knows where he is, to come forward and give us that vital information. No matter how small or insignificant they think any information they have may be, I would urge them to please come forward as it could prove vital to our investigation and may assist in any additional lines of enquiry.
“A £10K Crimestoppers reward remains in place, for information that leads to his arrest. If you wish to claim this reward, please call Crimestoppers directly and give them any information you have, to help us find Moise Djuku.
“Crimestoppers is completely independent of the police. Anyone giving information to them is anonymous and remains anonymous.
“I want to help Corey’s grieving family get justice for his senseless killing. Corey Dobbe and his family deserve justice. They deserve their day in court and to bring his killer to justice.”
Anyone with any information that would help with the investigation is urged to call the Humberside Police non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 16/60891/21.
