
The attendances for Super League round 19 are in, with Wigan Warriors recording the biggest crowd for their clash against Hull FC.
The Warriors saw 14,427 through the turnstiles as the Black and Whites ran out impressive 32-12 winners at the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with Jed Cartwright scoring two tries.
Elsewhere, 11,843 were at Headingley as Leeds Rhinos ran out 42-6 winners over Salford Red Devils. The away side kept the Rhinos to just 10-6 at the break, with a strong second half from Brad Arthur’s outfit seeing them pull away on Friday night.
St Helens also recorded a strong attendance at the Totally Wicked Stadium, especially given their Thursday night fixture. In total, 11,805 saw their 16-4 defeat to Leigh Leopards, with Adrian Lam’s side moving within one point of second-placed Wigan with eight rounds to go.
In the South of France, 9,187 were at the Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday evening as Hull KR ran out 34-6 winners over Catalans Dragons. The win reinstated Rovers’ four-point lead at the top, with the side returning to winning ways after two successive defeats.
Elsewhere, Castleford Tigers recorded a 6,384 gate at Wheldon Road on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers ran out 20-14 winners over Warrington Wolves, earning their first win since Danny McGuire’s departure.
Over at the Kirklees Stadium, just 5,145 saw Huddersfield Giants thrashed 46-10 by Wakefield Trinity on Friday night. Trinity’s win keeps them just one point behind Hull in the race for the play-offs.
