From gelato to ice cream, there’s plenty to help cool you down this summer. We wanted to find the best spots to visit and you’d been leaving your reviews of the best places to help us out.
We took a look at the TripAdvisor’s recommendations on the best places to get an ice-cream in and around Hull.
Del Gelato
With a large selection of different treats, Del Gelato is a much loved ice cream option for many Hull residents.
One customer wrote: “Really nice place and probably one of the best ice cream/gelato places in Hull. Not very crowded on most days. Plenty of indoor seating and plenty of parking (free). Service is quite nice. They offer a blue light discount as well so that’s a plus point as well.”
They recommended the gelato, waffle sundae with strawberries, ice cream and fresh cream. The Banana Split also got the thumbs up.
Bert’s Pizza & Gelato Hull
Offering not one but two delicious staples in its title, at Bert’s you can grab an ice-cream or a stone baked pizza – the choice is yours! Punters praised the gelato selection and service on offer with several of the reviewers regular visitors to Bert’s stores.
One guest recommended trying the lemon meringue and key lime flavours of gelato on offer.

Kaspa’s Hull
Mouth-watering is the best way to describe this place and it may take you several minutes to decide what you want from the menu. A short walk from the train station, this is a viable option for visitors or those travelling elsewhere on the railway.
With over 25 flavours of gelato, you will be spoilt for choice if you call into Kaspa’s.
Caffe Gelato
This place gets glowing reviews for the quality of the food on offer. It is situated north of the Hull Royal Infirmary and its customer service has also received positive feedback.
One reviewer commented: “The quality of the food and desserts here are really top notch, but another important thing is how thoroughly lovely all the staff are here. Probably the happiest and friendliest servers I’ve ever come across.”
There are several flavours on offer with some as varied as Snickers, pistachio crème and Kinder Bueno.
Another visitor to the store wrote: “An absolute paradise of hand made ice creams.”
Newland Caffe Gelato
The spot has some great reviews including one diner who wrote: “Lovely spot with tasty food and a great selection of drinks, ice creams, and desserts. Plenty of options to choose from, and the service is quick too – no long wait times. Definitely worth stopping by!”
With over a dozen flavours to choose from, the whole family will find their flavour at the store. Standards like vanilla, strawberry and salted caramel are on offer to other variations including mint chocolate crisp and white chocolate raspberry.
