The search party looking for missing Hull man Matthew Hall in Italy have sadly discovered a body, it has been reported.
Matthew, 33, was last seen on Tuesday, July 9, when he left his B&B to go for a hike in the Italian Alps. Friends and work colleagues from Quickline in Hull joined the search operation.
The day he went missing, Matthew messaged a friend saying he had lost the trail and was stopping to rest.
He sent a photo to a friend standing near a large cross which was pinpointed by search and rescue teams as being a look-out point at Daloo, a rural village at 1,075m.
Tragically, a body was found on Wednesday at 7pm local time near the Cross of Daloo, Italian police told the BBC, adding members of his family had been informed.

Experienced hiker Matthew had explored many peaks and mountain ranges, including the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the Lake District, he asked staff for directions for the best walks.
His disappearance was reported to police by the owner of his accommodation, B&B Ploncher, on Saturday – four days after he was last sighted – when he failed to check out.
Matthew’s mother Sara Foster, 62, flew out to Italy on Wednesday and, speaking at the time, said she had been overwhelmed by the support shown by Matthew’s friends and colleagues.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) told Hull Live: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Italy and are in contact with the local authorities.”
