A pedestrian has sadly died following an incident on the A63 in Hull in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway in the area of Daltry Street flyover at around 4am. A heavy goods vehicle was found to have been involved in a collision with a pedestrian who tragically died at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours between St Andrew’s Quay and the A1165 Drypool while collision investigators carried out their work. The eastbound carriageway reopened mid-morning with the westbound reopening at around midday.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has CCTV, dashcam, or any further information that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries, please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 55 of 14 July. We would also like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.”
