The A63 is closed in both directions in Hull this morning following a “serious collision” in the early hours.

The road is shut from St Andrew’s Quay to the Ferensway junction in the city centre.

In a statement, Humberside Police said: “Due to an ongoing incident on Daltry street flyover, the A63 is closed in both directions from St Andrews Quay to the Ferensway junction. This closure will remain in place for some time. Please find an alternative route to allow emergency services to work safely.”

National Highways has described the incident as a “serious collision” and, just after 5.30am, said the closure is “expected to be in place for several hours this morning”.
