
Two boys have been charged with rape following an incident in Hull last week.
A rape was reported in the Avenues area of Hull on Thursday, July, 3. Both boys appeared at Hull Magistrates Court today.
In a statement, Humberside Police said: “Two teenage boys have been charged in connection with a reported rape on Princes Avenue in Hull on Thursday, 3 July.
“Two boys aged 16-years-old and 14-years-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to their age, have both been charged with rape, false imprisonment, actual bodily harm and suffocation.
“The 16-year-old has also been charged with sexual assault and harassment.
“During the investigation a 17-year-old was arrested and has since been released without charge.
“Both individuals have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday, 12 July).”
