Hull FC prop Brad Fash has been awarded a 12-month testimonial by the Rugby Football League for ten years of service to his hometown club.

The 29-year-old will mark his 12th season at Hull next year, with a testimonial game coming in January. The forward, who made his first-team debut against Castleford in 2015, is a boyhood supporter of the Airlie Birds and will make his 200th career appearance against Wakefield this Thursday night.

He has 184 Hull appearances to his name, with a further 14 games coming on dual reg/loan during spells at Leigh Leopards, Doncaster, and Toronto Wolfpack. He has also played once for England Knights.

Fash played seven times in his debut year, but he had to wait until 2017 to play for Hull’s first team again and 2018 until he made his first start for the club.

He came through the ranks at the club’s academy and reserves sides and has become a well-known figure of the side in recent years, with that service now set to be rewarded with a full 12-month testimonial. It will begin this autumn with a dinner, with many events set to be confirmed in due course.

“I’m really proud to have been awarded a testimonial for ten years of service to my hometown club,” Fash said. “I always wanted to play for Hull as a kid, so this is a dream come true, really.

“When I first started in 2015, I never really expected to reach this stage of my career here – I’ve kept working hard every single day, and it means a lot to me and my family to have reached this milestone.

“I’ve made some great mates here over the last decade – the likes of Jordan Lane and Jack Brown in particular – but I’ve also had the chance to play alongside some incredible individuals too, the likes of Gareth Ellis and Sika Manu, which has been really special for me.

“The testimonial will launch in November with a launch dinner, and there’ll be a testimonial game in January too – we’ll have a darts event, a ladies night, a race night and plenty more – hopefully something for everyone.”
