A man has tragically died after a crash in East Yorkshire.

It happened on the B1246 Inrea Hill, at Warter, in the East Riding of Yorkshire yesterday. Humberside Police were called to reports that a car, a red Ford Mondeo, and motorbike, a blue BMW R1250 had collided.

Sadly, the motorbike rider, 37-year-old Darren Stringer, died at the scene from his injuries.
His family continue to be supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time.

The driver of the Ford Mondeo, a 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision who has information or dashcam footage that may assist our enquiries to please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 369 of 21 June.
