They did it!!
Hull KR have finally brought home a major cup win after a 40 year drought.
The Robins beat The Warrington Wolves with a last-minute try that put them ahead to a final score of 8-6. East Hull hero Mickey Lewis became a legend as he struck the ball through the posts in the dying minutes – and one half of the stadium erupted in a combination of euphoria and relief.
Fans had expected a win but it went down to the wire at a very wet Wembley. And the rain certainly didn’t dampen spirits as these photos by our photographer Donna Clifford show!
A victory parade and celebrations will be held on Sunday night – full details here.
