A queuing system will be in place at Hull railway station today (Friday, June 6) and tomorrow, to help manage the number of Hull Kingston Rovers supporters travelling to Wembley.

Hull Trains has posted that it has adopted queuing controls on the main concourse at Paragon Station. High numbers of passengers are expected to be travelling to London for the Challenge Cup final against Warrington Wolves, on Saturday afternoon.

Hull Trains said: “Please be assured we plan to operate all morning southbound services from Hull and evening northbound services from London as normal on Saturday and Sunday. If any services are affected, we will have alternative travel arrangements in place to get you to your destination.”

The company added: “Services will be extremely busy and if you do not have a seat reservation you may be required to stand for your journey.” The post asks Hull Trains passengers to go to the designated queuing area next to The Point Shop on the main concourse.

Tickets will be checked on entry at Platforms 6 and 7 for the Hull Trains 10.33 and 12.33 departures, today (as was the case for the 08.24 service this morning) and the Hull Trains 06.17, 08.18, 08.57 and 10.33 departures on Saturday.

Other passengers travelling with other train operators can use the usual ticket barriers to access the platforms, the company said. Station staff will be available to advise and direct travellers.
