
A teenage cyclist suffered “serious injuries to his leg” in a crash in Hull.
Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision involving the cyclist and a car which happened on Spring Bank West at around 6.40pm on Saturday (May 3).
On Thursday, a force spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a cyclist. The driver of the Ford Fiesta was reportedly travelling along Spring Bank West, Hull, towards the roundabout at the junction with Calvert Lane.
“At the same time, a cyclist is believed to have crossed a zebra crossing on Spring Bank West, Hull, leading to a subsequent collision with the Ford Fiesta.
“The cyclist, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries to his leg.
“If you witnessed the collision, have dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, or have any further information that may assist our investigation, please call us on our non-emergency number, quoting crime reference 25*60596.”
