A 67 year-old woman is in hospital with life threatening injuries after an incident on a city bus.

Humberside Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the events at the westbound bus stop on Holderness Road, near the junction of Bellfield Avenue at about 5:30pm on Friday evening (July 25). It is reported that a passenger fell to the floor as the bus departed from the stop.

The incident involved the EYMS bus service 57, travelling westbound into the city. Passengers on the service may have seen the incident.

A statement from Humberside Police said: “Emergency services attended the scene and a 67-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries. We are appealing for passengers on the EYMS 57 at the time of the incident, or any witnesses who may have information, to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 449 of July 25.”
