Young Hull FC centre Ryan Westerman has been banned for two matches following an incident in last weekend’s reserve game at Wigan Warriors.
The teenager has copped a Grade D charge for ‘questioning the integrity of a match official.’ He has been handed 12 penalty points, putting him within the threshold for a two game ban. Hull lost the game at Wigan 24-12.
Westerman dropped out of the club’s 21-man squad for this Saturday’s Super League game against Huddersfield Giants. He has made one first-team appearance this season – featuring in the Challenge Cup tie against York Acorn back in February.
He landed eight goals against the amateur opponent – his first senior points for the club, after making his Super League debut against Catalans Dragons in the final round of last season.
Westerman has missed a large chunk of 2025 with an ankle injury. However, he returned to the action for the reserves and has also spent time at Hunslet in the Championship, where he has made four appearances. He is contracted until the end of the 2027 season.
Elsewhere, Doncaster winger Edene Gebbie has also been hit with a two-match ban following a Grade D head contact charge.
There have also been charges for three more Championship and league 1 players with full details below.
