A 25-year-old man was hit by a car in Spring Bank at the junction with Park Street this morning, police said.

The man was taken to hospital and suffered “minor injuries” in the collision at around 11:45am, Humberside Police said. Earlier, Spring Bank was closed while the police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service worked at the scene.

Anybody with information or footage is asked to get in touch with the police on the non-emergency 101 number.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Spring Bank in Hull this morning (Thursday, 24 July).

“It is reported at around 11.45am, the driver of a blue Ford Eco Sport and a pedestrian were involved in a collision at a crossing near to Park Street junction.

“The road was closed to allow emergency services to work safely and has since been re-opened.

“The pedestrian, a 25-year-old-man, has been taken to hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.

“If you witnessed the collision, have dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, or have any further information that may assist our investigation, please call us on our non-emergency number, quoting log 206 of 24 July.”
