Hull FC have been dealt an injury blow ahead of Saturday’s home clash against Huddersfield Giants, with Brad Fash ruled out after an unspecified training knock.
The extent of the injury is unknown at this stage. However, it is enough to rule Fash, who played in the back row at Wigan, out of the clash. Jack Ashworth is now poised to replace him on the edge.
Fash is one of four changes to the squad. Elsewhere, Ryan Westerman, Will Kirby, and Cobie Wainhouse drop out.
As expected, Liam Watts is named in the squad and set to make his long awaited return. The prop has been out with a knee injury suffered in training and hasn’t played since his second debut for the club at Wakefield in March.
He is joined by Amir Bourouh, who has passed his return to play protocols after a failed HIA, Sam Eseh, who was eligible to play against his parent club last week, and young prop Will Gardiner.
Young forward duo Will Hutchinson and Matty Laidlaw keep their places, as does Jack Charles, who started for the first time this season at Wigan. They are joined by the likes of Zak Hardaker, Aidan Sezer, Liam Knight and Herman Ese’ese, who are starred in the Wigan win.
On the injury front, Hull remain without Ed Chamberlain (HIA), Will Pryce (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), Ligi Sao (knee), and Jordan Lane (arm).
