This facility has had a £10.5m rebuild and includes a heated lido which has been refurbished for outdoor swimming. It also includes a water play area.

The park includes a children’s splash playground and a 43-jet splash park, as well as splash boats and swan boats.

However, those wanting to cool down in the splash park will have to wait as it will not be open this summer after an inspection found “issues with the quality of the surface” which required a complete refurbishment, the council said.
