
Families have braved the wet weather to enjoy a free taste of ancient Rome in the heart of Hull!
Romanfest is a free event offering a fascinating glimpse into the life of Roman soldiers and civilians. It continues tomorrow (Sunday, July 20), from 11am to 4pm, and allows visitors to experience the sights, sounds, and stories of Roman times.
Kids can try their hand at “fighting” Roman soldiers, among the have-a-go activities, watch demonstrations, enjoy storytelling and learn some fascinating facts. Visitors are invited to dress up as a Roman citizen or a gladiator at a selfie-station and capture the perfect Roman-themed photo to remember the day.
