Hull FC have named a 19-man reserves squad for Saturday’s game at Wigan Warriors. The clash follows on from the first-team game at the Brick Community Stadium, with the two sides meeting at the adjacent Robin Park at 5:30 pm.
In total, there are two changes to Francis Cummins’ side, with a hint dropped for the Super League game. Will Hutchinson and Finlay Wilson make way, with Hutchinson set to feature on first-team duty for what will be his fourth senior appearance of the year.
Coming back into the squad are trialist winger Jack Rampton and young forward Will Kirby. Rampton missed the reserves’ win over St Helens with a groin issue, while Kirby will line up in Hull colours after a recent loan spell at Hunslet – who have no game this weekend.
Elsewhere, Ryan Westerman and Joe Ward are both included after featuring for the reserves against the Saints. The Kemp twins, Callum Kemp and Lloyd Kemp, both take their places, with Callum missing last week’s academy victory over Hull KR due to a dog bite that required medical treatment.
The likes of Cobie Wainhouse are also named, with the young prop also in Hull’s 21-man squad for the Super League game. Logan Moy is set for more valuable game time after a recent dual reg run at Doncaster, while young first teamers Jordon Baker, Owen Haldenby, and Ryan Johnson all feature. They are joined by several academy players, including the likes of Elliot Middlemas, Joe Thompson, and Jon Turner.
Hull reserves sit fourth in the table. A win would take them above Wigan into at least third spot. They are currently behind the Warriors and Warrington Wolves on points difference. Leeds Rhinos top the table by two points, with the top sides at the end of the season contesting the reserves grand final.
