(Failey) It is with great sadness to announce that Kath Brown passed away peacefully in Dove House Hospice on 16th June 2025. Kath was a much loved wife of Mike Brown happily married for 24 happy years enjoying life’s adventures together. A dear daughter of the late Bob and Mary Failey (deceased) Kath was a devoted Mum to Carl and Leila and loving Grandma of Joseph, Olivia, Maria and James. Also a cherished sister to two brothers Sydney and William and 3 sisters Janet (Margaret and Jean deceased) and a loved sister-in-law. Kath will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Funeral service to be held on Monday 21st July, 1.00 pm at Oak Chapel, Lelley Fields Crematorium, Sproatley Road, Preston followed by a celebration of Kath’s life at Nags Head, Preston. No flowers by request please, donations may be left at the service in memory of Kath to Dove House Hospice. At Kath’s request she would like people to dress comfortably and in her words ‘as if you are going out for a celebration’.

Passed away peacefully at home on 1st July 2025. Aged 77 years. Much loved mum of Paula, Michael, Nichola and Leanne. A dearly loved grandma and granny who will be greatly missed by all her family. Funeral service at Hull Chanterlands Large chapel on Friday 25th July at 9.30am followed by interment at Priory Wood Cemetery. (Mick) Passed away peacefully at Hull Royal Infirmary on the 30th June 2025 aged 90 years. Loving husband to Dorothy, beloved dad to Ian, Mike and in-laws Angela and Manda, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to be held on Monday 21st July at Haltemprice Crematorium at 10.30am. (Parkman) Betty passed away on 18th June, free from pain and surrounded by love. A much loved wife of 63 years to Malcolm (Mick), a loving, brilliant and caring mum to Judith and Catherine, grandma to Andrew, Jamie, Sarah and Sophie, Becca, Dan and Vikki, great-grandma to Ethan, Finlay, Marshall, Lottie, Tommy, Olivia and Jaxon and a great friend to so many. Betty will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty, to be held on Thursday 17th July, Chanterlands Crematorium Large Chapel at 3.30pm. Peacock Anita Mary Passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia. On Wednesday 25th June 2025 Aged 82 years Loving Mum to Shane and Gaynor and cherished Grandmother to Sasha, Max, Winston, Peter and Timmy. Dear Mum/Annie/Jogging Grannie, we are so thankful that your feisty spirit is free to move and explore again. We will love you always. of Burstwick, formerly of Thorngumbald, passed away Saturday 21st June 2025 at Hull Royal Infirmary, aged 84 years. Beloved wife of her late husband Leslie, loving mother to Melanie, Mark and the late Christopher, daughters-in-law Lyndsay and Pamela, treasured Nan to Madeleine and partner Isaiah, Jacob and Great Nan to Dorothy. Steve passed away at home on Sunday 22nd June 2025 aged 79. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Janet. His children Mark and Carole, grandchildren Kayleigh, Alex, Briony and Joe. Great Grandchildren Daisy, Max, Sebastian and other family and friends who loved him. A service to celebrate Steve’s life is to be held in the large chapel at Chanterlands Crematorium at 2.30pm Thursday 24th July 2025.
