North Bridge in Hull is currently closed in both directions.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the area in Hull city centre.
In a statement on social media, a spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Please be aware of a road closure on North Bridge in Hull, travelling in both directions.
“It is advised, if travelling, to avoid the area where possible at this time until further update. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your assistance with this matter.”
