Hull FC dug deep to record a 16-10 victory over Wakefield Trinity on Thursday night, their first home victory in 355 days. Here are the ratings.
Zak Hardaker – Solid at full-back and got the club Player of the Match again. Dealt with kicks and got Hull going with their first try. Fights for everything every week. He’s been nothing but superb all year. 9
Harvey Barron – The winger has had a really good season, and that continued here. Strong with his carries and error-free. He was outstanding. 9
Jordan Rapana – The Kiwi played in the centre again and looked much more comfortable. Scored an important try and carried hard. What’s that saying… Form is temporary, class is permanent? 7
Davy Litten – One first half break and carried hard all game. 7
Lewis Martin – The winger was safe under the high ball and returned well before crossing over for his 20th try of the season in the second half – the winning moment for Hull. He continues to go from strength to strength. 9
Cade Cust – Three errors in the first half but responded strong at hooker late in the game. He was tidy and contributed massively to Hull getting upfield. 6
Aidan Sezer – The danger comes when he runs hard as first receiver. Instrumental in the comeback. 8
Herman Ese’ese – His second stint was immense. Led the charge and got Hull rampaging downfield. 9
Amir Bourouh – Two first half errors from the hooker. It was one of those nights. Failed his HIA in the second half and will miss next week’s game at Wigan. 5
Liam Knight – Played the ball playing middle role again. Some passes went to ground, but he also linked well at times. His second stint was also immense. Got Hull home. 8
Jed Cartwright – Started in the back row. Got through 60 minutes and avoided any hamstring injury, with the back row taken off as planned and iced up. Did well. 6
Ed Chamberlain – Left the field early on to a head injury assessment. 5
Yusuf Aydin – Got through plenty of defensive work as always and did all the ugly elements of the game. 7
Jack Ashworth – Two stints and did his bit off the bench. 6
Brad Fash – Made his 200th career appearance off the bench and never took a backwards step. 7
Sam Eseh – Left the field for a head injury assessment towards the end of the first half but passed. Made a difference in the second half. 7
Jack Charles – Came on and played his role to effect. Kicked a big goal to take Hull to a six-point lead. 6
