Brick History, a captivating journey through 13.8 billion years of world history creatively brought to life using LEGO bricks, is the title of a new exhibition now running at Beverley Art Gallery.
Created by LEGO artist Warren Elsmore and his talented team, this innovative exhibition transforms key moments in history into vibrant, engaging models that appeal to visitors of all ages. The free exhibition is running until Saturday, August 30.
Brick History features iconic figures from Mozart to Martin Luther King, groundbreaking scientific discoveries from the Big Bang to DNA, and milestones from the moon landings to the advent of mobile phones. Starting with the origins of the universe, the exhibition swiftly moves on through the ages to humanity’s journey into space.
Hannah Willetts, Beverley Art Gallery curator, said: “We are so excited to share this exhibition with families and LEGO enthusiasts this summer.” On Saturday, July 26, LEGO brick picture making is an additional activity for visitors who can craft their own LEGO artworks, inspired by the gallery’s displayed artworks.
This creative session is free and runs from 10am to 3pm. Beverley Art Gallery, can be found on the first floor of Champney Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley, HU17 8HE.
