Hull KR fell to defeat on Sunday as Leeds Rhinos produced a fightback to win at Sewell Group Craven Park 14-8. Here are the player ratings.
Arthur Mourgue – 6: Did a lot of good things but unable to ice two key moments in attack, twice throwing forward passes, were bad moments.
Tom Davies – 8: Rovers’ best. Made over 200 metres for his team and was punching through Leeds’ defence to get sets up and running. Great game.
Peta Hiku – 5: Quiet by his own usual high standards. Contained very well and will be disappointed with his defensive effort in the build-up to the winning try, missing Alfie Edgell.
Jack Broadbent – 7: Showed some elusive qualities with the ball as he beat Leeds defenders.
Joe Burgess – 6: Made good metres but came up with three errors during the game.
Mikey Lewis – 5: Was quiet before a failed HIA brought his game to an early end.
Tyrone May – 7: Try-saving tackle on Edgell in the opening ten minutes and was generally outstanding defensively.
Sauaso Sue – 7: The only forward that really provided any true punch on the afternoon.
Micky McIlorum – 7: A big defensive effort on his return to the side and played big minutes.
Dean Hadley – 7: Workrate is just astonishing. 80 minutes, made over 40 tackles and 100 metres.
Rhyse Martin – 7: Promising signs on his return highlighted by the opening try. Tired late on and started missing some tackles.
Jai Whitbread – 6: Made so many big double efforts for his team defensively, but didn’t offer much go forward.
Elliot Minchella – 7: 48 tackles and just one miss. Some going from the captain.
Jez Litten – 6: Spent most of his game in the halves but barring an offload that put Kelepi Tanginoa away, he didn’t offer much.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves – 4: Great to see him back but not the best afternoon. Conceded the penalty from which Sam Lisone scored and then inexcusably penalised for dissent in front of his own sticks from which Leeds levelled the game.
Sam Luckley – 5: Played the final 17 minutes but Leeds spent a lot of that on the back foot.
Kelepi Tanginoa – 5: Has to nail that pass before half-time. A big moment that went begging.
