Hull KR forward Rhyse Martin is set for a hefty suspension if found guilty by an independent RFL tribunal hearing on Tuesday night. The back rower has been slapped with a Grade E Other Contrary Behaviour (head contact and unnecessary contact with a player who is injured or maybe injured) offence and could be banned for as many as six matches.

The incident happened in Friday’s victory over Wakefield Trinity, with Martin now set for a nervy wait. He will be represented as always by the club, who maintained their grip on Super League’s summit with their 34-10 win.

Elsewhere, another Super League player, Castleford Tigers hooker Liam Horne, is set for a tribunal after being charged with a similar offence. Horne has recieved a Grade E ‘unnecessary contact with a player who is injured or maybe injured’ charge. The incident happened in Saturday’s defeat to Wigan Warriors. Both players don’t have any points on their penalty records, but again, they will be set for hefty bans if found guilty.

Elsewhere, seven players have been charged for various offences, but no bans have been handed out. Four charges have come for late contact on the passer offences. They are for Kennan Palasia (Leeds), Taane Milne (Huddersfield), Matt Whitley (St Helens), and Dan Russell (Salford).

Leigh Leopards duo Joe Ofahengaue and Umyla Hanley have been charged for a trip offence in Friday’s defeat at Leeds, while Castleford outside back Sam Wood has also been charged.
