
The death of a woman in Hull at the weekend is being treated as “unexplained”.
Officers were called to an address, off Willerby Road, on Sunday (June 22) morning. A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of concern for safety of a woman on Nelson Road in Hull at around 11.40am yesterday morning (Sunday, 22 June).
“Officers attended and the woman was immediately taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. However, she died later the same day.
“There is an ongoing investigation into the woman’s death, and it is currently being treated as unexplained. Additional enquiries are being carried out, with a post mortem examination due to take place this afternoon.”
An eye witness told Hull Live that there had been a police presence in the area since yesterday morning, with a portion of land cordoned off.
