Willie Peters has named a strong squad for Hull KR’s return to Super League, hosting Catalans Dragons at Sewell Group Craven Park.

The Challenge Cup winners return their attention to the domestic season, looking to maintain their form at the top of the Super League table against ninth-placed Catalans.

As confirmed earlier in the week, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Joe Burgess will miss the game through injury. In-form winger Burgess is only expected to miss this week, while his Kiwi veteran team-mate went into the Wembley showdown with a calf injury. He is set to miss around four weeks of action.

Experienced hooker Micky McIlorum also returns to his rehab for the next three weeks, having made a remarkable return to start against Warrington Wolves in the capital.

Rising youngster Noah Booth has been named on the wing, partnering Jack Broadbent as Arthur Mourgue returns to full-back. The French international was cup-tied last week.

Eribe Doro and Bill Leyland have both been named on the bench. Sauaso Sue also starts in the front row, after being cleared of a spitting allegation. An independent operational rules tribunal ruled that the 33-year-old did not spit intentionally in the direction of Warrington’s Josh Thewlis.

A party atmosphere is expected, with the highest number of home fans ever expected at Sewell Group Craven Park after selling out earlier this week.

Hull KR squad: Arthur Mourgue, Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Jack Broadbent, Noah Booth, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Dean Hadley, Jai Whitbread, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella. Bench: Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Eribe Doro, Bill Leyland.
