Hull FC forward Will Kirby has joined Championship outfit Hunslet on loan. The 19-year-old forward has made two appearances for John Cartwright’s side this season, adding to his first-team debut last year.

Kirby, capable of playing through the middle or on an edge, was last season’s Academy Player of the Year and has been a regular for the club’s reserves side this year. However, he will now look for some first-team gametime in the sport’s second tier.

Kirby joins Ryan Westerman, who linked up with the Leeds-based side on loan last month. He made his debut for the club against Oldham. Hull have a callback option on both players after two weeks.

Elsewhere, Hunslet have also Mason Corbett from Bradford Bulls until the end of the 2026 season, with head coach Dean Muir stating: “To get Mason on board for the rest of the season and committed to 2026 was important. He’s a good person who trains hard.

“He wants to get better every session and has a seriousness to his training, which we need. I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing him develop in our environment.

“Will Kirby is a strong, aggressive back rower who has played in Super League. He adds depth to our edges and brings punch and a big carry.”

Elsewhere, Brad Fash, Will Gardiner, and Logan Moy have played for Championship outfit Doncaster on dual reg in recent weeks. Zach Jebson has also played for Goole Vikings in League 1.
