A man has tragically died following a crash in Whitedale.
A black ford focus and a black MG3 were in a collision on Beverley Road, between New Ellerby and Great Hatfield at 7pm on Thursday. The driver of the Ford Focus, a 76-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment to serious injuries, however he later died in hospital on Friday, 6 June.
His family have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in the coming days to establish the man’s cause of death.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out lines of enquiries to further establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and we are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time it occurred, to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 457 of 29 May.”
