Here’s a run down of some of the planning applications that have recently been submitted to Hull City Council which include changes to an industrial unit on Goulton Street.
Industrial unit changes
An application has been submitted to the council for alterations to the former HYA Training unit Goulton Street. The unit which used to be home to the adult education provider, HYA Training, could soon receive both interior and exterior changes if the planning application receives the green light from the council. The application includes a total recladding of the exterior of the building which would see the unit receiving a neutral look rather than its current blue appearance. The interior of the unit would also be altered with changes to the floorplan proposed in the application.

An application has also been submitted to the council for repairs to the Grade II listed Merchants Warehouse on Robinson Row in Hull’s Old Town. The former warehouse, which has since been converted into offices and residential accommodation, could be set for repairs to the external masonry according to documents submitted to the council. The proposed works include repointing parts of the exterior and the redecoration to three gates. Proposed works also include the removal and replacement of heavily damaged bricks. Documents states any replacements bricks would match the existing brickwork as closely as possible.
Proposed apartment block
The council has received an application for a new apartment block in Hull city centre. The application proposes the construction of an eighteen flat unit on Egginton Street near the Hull New Theatre and Kingston Square. The application states that the block would contain five 2-bedroom flats and thirteen 1-bedroom flats across three storeys.
The council will now review and decide upon these applications.
