Sirius Academy North has confirmed it will reopen to all students from tomorrow (June 3) following a flood-caused closure.

The school, situated on Hall Road near the Beverley Road junction, announced on Sunday June 1 that “due to a leak and flooding in the Academy over the weekend” the school would be closed on Monday June 2 for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

However, the post did confirm that the school would be open as usual for Year 11 students, with the post stating: “It is essential that Y11 still attend in order to prepare for their last run of exams.”

Around midday on Monday June 2, the school announced that from the next day (Tuesday June 3) the school would reopen to all students. The school posted on social media: “We apologise for any inconvenience and are looking forward to a very productive final half term.”

Hull Live has contacted the school to understand the extent of the damage caused by the leak.
