A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of a man being stabbed in west Hull yesterday.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Humberside Police attended Reynoldson Street off Newland Avenue at 7.15pm on Sunday night. Police said a man was stabbed in the chest but his injuries were “not thought to be life-threatening at this time”.
Anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam in that part of the Avenues at the time has been asked to come forward. Police also want to speak to people who may have information about the incident.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “A 49-year-old man has been arrested after a man reportedly sustained a stab wound at a property on Reynoldson Street, Hull yesterday evening (Sunday,1 June).
“Officers were called to attend Reynoldson Street in Hull after a man had reportedly been stabbed to the chest at approximately 7.15pm on Sunday (1 June).
“Officers were immediately deployed, and a man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.”
Detective Inspector Jason Gourley said: “Following the report, as a part of lines of enquiry, I can confirm a 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.
“I understand an incident of this nature will be concerning for the local community; however, I want to offer my reassurance that we believe this to be an incident between individuals known to each other.
“A scene guard was put in place whilst we continued to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, this has now been removed.
“If you believe you have any information, and, in particular, dashcam footage or CCTV from the area around the time the incident occurred, please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 25*74906.”
