
A man has been ‘seriously injured’ following a reported road traffic collision in Hull on Friday evening, police said.
Humberside Police said they received reports that a collision had taken place on Spring Bank, close to the junction with Ferensway. It is believed that a Kia Sportage collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 50-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries reported to be serious but not life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Hull are appealing for witnesses and further information to assist with ongoing enquiries.
“Just after 7pm yesterday evening (Friday, 9 May), we received reports that a white Kia Sportage had been in collision with a pedestrian on Spring Bank close to the junction with Ferensway.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 50-year-old man, was transported to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not thought to be life threatening at this time.
“Nobody else is thought to have sustained any serious injuries as a result of the collision.
“We would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and witnessed the collision, or anyone who has any dashcam or CCTV footage, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 434 of 9 May.”
