Hull and East Yorkshire have so many great places to choose from so we needed your help. We asked, and you delivered – submitting thousands of votes throughout our nomination survey and final shortlist.
You whittled it down to the top five and now we are thrilled to announce the winner. But first, let’s take a look at runners up…
In fifth place is the Lazy Bean in Skirlaugh, followed by Gingers at the Embassy Hotel in fourth. Coming in third place is Wilson 26 Cafe Bar, and just missing out on the top spot was Bailey’s Bistro in second place. A huge well done to everyone.
But there could only be one winner. With a total of 683 votes, the best spot to grab a breakfast in Hull and East Yorkshire according to you is Barmston Cafe, Wincolmlee.
Describing themselves on Facebook as a “little cafe in the middle of Wincolmlee industrial estate” this place offers “a warm welcome” as well as “hot and cold homemade food.” Even better, you can grab something to eat in or takeaway.
And the reviewers also love this spot with an impressive 4.6 stars on Google Reviews. One customer said: “Breakfast is great. One of the best in Hull! Highly recommend. I only wish they were open at the weekend!”
Another person said: “The only complaint I have is that the food was too good, and therefore I wanted more…” Taking to Facebook, one reviewer said that it had “friendly staff & beaut food.”
