Attending secondary school in the ’90s and early noughties was certainly a memorable time.

During an era where computer systems were only just beginning to be more commonplace in schools and workplaces, owning a mobile phone was still a rarity, and the concept of social media and smartphones was completely different to how it is now.

Beverley Grammar School is considered the oldest surviving state school in the country, and was founded way back in 700 A.D. by St John of Beverley. The boys’ school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is situated on Queensgate in Beverley.

We’ve dug around in our archives and unearthed some very nostalgic photographs of Beverley Grammar School pupils from the late 1990s to early 2000s.
