Arthur Mourgue – 7: Just the one mistake at the back and kicked three goals. Not heavily involved in attack.
Tom Davies – 8: A good evening for the in-form winger, with strong post-contact metres, confident under the high ball under pressure and two tries on the night.
Peta Hiku – 8: Had a strong second half with some devastating runs, as well as an assist for May after opening a break for Mourgue, then receiving the ball back to pass to his half-back. Then later assisted Davies for his second. Sam Burgess admitted the centre gave his side some trouble in the second half in his post-match press conference.
Jack Broadbent – 6: Scored the first try of the evening after getting the better of opposition Rodrick Tai. Didn’t see much of the centre afterwards.
Joe Burgess – 7: A fantastic finish in the second half against Tai to extend the lead to 18-6 at the time.
Mikey Lewis – 7. Was the pantomime villain from the start with the home crowd giving him a tough crowd. That intensified after high contact on Stefan Ratchford after a kick. Nonetheless, one try and one assist on his 100th Super League appearance.
Tyrone May – 8. A fantastic long pass to assist Davies’ first, before another assist for half-back partner Lewis with an offload. Became a try-scorer in the second half after supporting a break out-wide from Mourgue and Hiku. A potential for player of the match alongside Hiku.
Sauaso Sue – 7: It was a forward battle from the start that Wire were well and truly in, and Sue got stuck into it.
Jez Litten – 6: Has had better nights but went through the wars with his head requiring two lots of bandages for blood.
Dean Hadley – 7: A tough 36 minute front-row stint in the first half and got a lot of work under his belt. Was soon brought back on in the second half.
Jai Whitbread – 7: A decent shift across several positions.
James Batchelor – 7: Got through a lot of defensive work.
Elliot Minchella – 7: Mixed up his game but more may be required at Wembley in a fortnight’s time.
Sam Luckley – 7: Came on after 25 minutes and made an impact.
Danny Richardson – N/A. Only came on for the remaining four minutes, although did come close to scoring before tackled just short by Tai.
Kelepi Tanginoa – 6: Has made bigger impacts in games.
Jack Brown – 6: Same as above.
