
A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed during an incident on Spring Bank West in Hull.
A scene guard remains in place after police received a report yesterday (Wednesday, 21 May) that two men had been involved in in an altercation at around 11pm at an address on Spring Bank West on Monday.
A Humberside Police spokespersons said: “A man has been arrested as a part of an ongoing investigation into a stabbing in Hull on Monday, 19 May. As a result of the incident, a 32-year-old man sustained lacerations to his face, ribs and arm and injuries to his eye and was left requiring medical treatment.”
Community Patrol Sergeant Courtney Mears-Fee said: “Following the report, as a part of lines of enquiry, I can confirm a 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in police custody at this time.
“I’d like to reassure residents that as part of our enquiries carried out so far, we believe this incident to be between people known to each other.
“A scene guard remains in place whilst we continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Our investigation is ongoing, and I would like to ask anyone with information or CCTV footage that may assist enquiries, to please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 25*69227.”
