Hull FC are back on the road this Thursday night, with Leigh Leopards awaiting them on the other side of the Pennines. The second meeting of the 2025 season; the two sides played out a thrilling draw back in March, and this one promises to be no different.
There are plenty of former players on both sides ready to face their old club – and that only adds to the spice of the occasion – one which should pack a punch or two. The stakes are big. Leigh are looking to consolidate third place in Super League and get back to winning ways after last week’s defeat at Wigan, while Hull, currently in seventh place, need to end a four-game losing run – and quickly.
That all makes for an intriguing contest between the two sides who like to get mileage on the ball and go coast to coast. Plenty has been said on that in recent days, with ball-playing forward John Asiata, for one, key to everything Hull do in the John Cartwright era. He’s back at Leigh Sport’s Village as an opposing player for the first time, with a victory for Hull doing wonders for their goals this year in what is an important block of the season. As always, we’ll be there with all the action from team news, build-up, live action, and post-match reaction. Stay tuned.
