Hull City have knocked back offers from Championship rivals Derby County and Preston North End for Cody Drameh, according to Sky Sports News.

Journalist Lyall Thomas says the Tigers are “open to doing a deal to sell the right-back, but not at the levels being offered so far”. He states the Rams, who beat City in their final home match of the 2024/25 season, are expected to return with an improved offer after having a loan approach rejected. There is a strong possibility Preston could table a new bid for the player over the coming weeks. North End are a man down in the wing back department after seeing loan star Kaine Kesler-Hayden return to Aston Villa.

Drameh, recruited for a nominal fee last summer after snubbing a contract extension at Leeds United, is also said to be attracting interest from French clubs Toulouse and Stade de Reims. The former England Under-21 international were keen on signing Drameh prior to his move to the MKM Stadium.

It was a challenging first year in East Yorkshire for Drameh, who found regular first team football hard to come by under Tim Walter and Ruben Selles. He was limited to 28 Championship appearances, with 17 of those starts.

Dulwich-born Drameh, who penned a three-year contract (plus a 12-month option) in late July last year, amassed just 73 minutes of action across four matches in the final 16 games of the season as Ruben Selles’ side stumbled over the finishing line to secure their Championship safety. The 23-year-old spent much of the early part of the campaign playing at left-back before covering for captain Lewie Coyle when he was sidelined by injury.
