Plymouth Argyle manager Miron Muslic is the bookmakers’ favourite to become the new Hull City head coach as the club looks to find a replacement for Ruben Selles, who was sacked last Thursday.

The Bosnian-born former Cercle Brugge boss has risen to the top of the charts and is rated 1/2 on to take over at the MKM Stadium, though Hull Live understands that his appointment at this stage is unlikely.

Muslic arrived at Plymouth in early January with the Pilgrims bottom of the Championship on 20 points and with just four wins from their opening 25 games. He almost guided them to safety, but their dismal goal difference made that task difficult.

Controversial former Newcastle United midfielder Emre Belozoglu is the second favourite at 3/1, but it’s thought to be highly unlikely that the current Antalyaspor chief will be appointed.

Ex-Middlesbrough, Sunderland and West Brom boss Tony Mowbray is third favourite at 4/1 even though he’s not under discussion and Tom Cleverley, sacked by Watford earlier this month, is at 12/1 with Gary O’Neil.

Perhaps surprisingly, Chelsea legend John Terry is rated at 25/1, along with a host of other managers, including Rob Edwards and ex-Notts County manager Luke Williams. Fresh from leaving Lens in France, Will Still is also priced at 25/1, but he’s not in the running to take over.

Here’s the latest odds…

Miron Muslic: 1/2

Emre Belozoglu: 3/1

Tony Mowbray: 4/1

Tom Cleverley: 12/1

Gary O’Neil: 12/1

John Terry: 25/1

Rob Edwards: 25/1

Luke Williams: 25/1

Will Still: 25/1

Russell Martin: 25/1

Marti Cifuentes: 25/1

Wayne Rooney: 33/1

Steve Cooper: 33/1

Shaun Maloney 33/1

Sean Dyche: 33/1
