Hull City defender Cody Drameh has been linked with a surprise move to France after struggling to pin down regular football at the MKM Stadium.
Drameh was City‘s first new signing of last summer when he arrived for a nominal fee after turning down fresh terms at Leeds United, but managed just 17 starts in the Championship among 28 altogether.
In the final 16 games of the campaign, the 23-year-old full-back amassed just 73 minutes of action across four games as Ruben Selles’ side stumbled over the finishing line to secure their Championship safety.
Drameh spent much of the early season playing at left-back before covering for Lewie Coyle when he was sidelined, but found it tough to overthrow the skipper, and therefore found his opportunities limited under Ruben Selles.
The former England Under-21 international is said to be attracting interest from Toulouse and Stade de Reims, who were keen on Drameh prior to his move to the MKM Stadium. French football outlet Footmercato claim the pair are eying a move for the right-back, who penned a three-year deal (plus a 12-month option) in late July last year.
Toulouse are safely nestled in mid-table, but Reims could yet be dragged into a relegation play-off with just one game of the French season to go.
While City are not expected a major overhaul this summer, compared to last, there are expected to be a number of players moved on this summer, with a new head coach keen to stamp his authority on the playing squad ahead of the new campaign.
