Peta Hiku and Jesse Sue have both been left out of the Hull KR squad for today’s Super League clash with Huddersfield Giants. The pair, who have both been ever-present for Willie Peters’ side this season, have been rested, with one eye on the Challenge Cup next month.
They have been replaced in the side by Arthur Mougue and Noah Booth, with the cup-tied duo recalled after being unavailable for selection last week.
Jack Broadbent moves from fullback to centre, with Booth also deployed at centre to help make way for Peta Hiku. James Batchelor returns to the back-row.
Dean Hadley replaces Sue as the starting prop and that allows Jai Whitbread to get more minutes under the belt at back-row, the position he will likely need to operate in at Wembley. Kelepi Tanginoa remains on the bench and will be utilised later in the game.
Frenchman Mourgue returns to fullback and the rest of the side is unchanged beyond that.
Hiku and Sue have been key players for Rovers this year in what has been an excellent start to the season. However, with the Challenge Cup approaching and Rovers still hunting trophies on all fronts, Peters has made a decision to rest them against the Giants, who have won just one game all season.
