A former Humberside Police inspector is due to appear in court charged with causing the sexual exploitation of a child under 13.
He has also been accused of three counts of making indecent photographs of children.
Ian Walpole was charged today (Friday, May 16) and has been bailed to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 22.
Humberside Police say an investigation was launched in July last year when information was received of suspected offending. Walpole was “immediately arrested and suspended whilst the criminal investigation commenced”.
