Head coach Ruben Selles is set to be sacked by Hull City owner Acun Ilicali after just over six months in the MKM Stadium hotseat.

Selles, who took charge in mid-December with the club bottom of the Championship, guided the Tigers to safety on the final day of the season with a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth earlier this month.

The search now begins for Ilicali’s fifth permanent manager since taking ownership of the club in January 2022, with City hoping to make a swift appointment ahead of the players returning to pre-season training at the beginning of July for what is a pivotal summer.

We’ll have all the fallout from Ilicali’s big decision over the coming hours and days as we head towards another huge appointment at City.
