John Cartwright has made two changes to his Hull FC squad to take on Leeds Rhinos this Friday night. The Black and Whites meet the Rhinos at Headingley and are boosted by the return of Brad Fash.
As confirmed by Cartwright in Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, the forward is set to make his return from a calf injury that has seen him miss the last five games. The 30-year-old is also joined in the squad by Jack Charles, who is named for the first time this year.
Charles has played five games since returning from an ankle injury suffered in pre-season – two for the reserves and three on dual reg for Doncaster, where he scored the first senior try of his career. They replace Will Kirby and Matty Laidlaw.
Elsewhere, Harvey Barron is named in the side, having overcome a knock to his hip at the Magic Weekend. The winger was forced off the field in the first half but has trained all week and is expected to play.
Liam Knight is also included after the Match Review Panel tellingly issued no further action after the prop’s red card in Newcastle.
Hull remain without Ligi Sao (knee), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Jordan Lane (arm), Oliver Holmes (knee), Ryan Westerman (ankle), Liam Watts (calf), and Roman Dawson (ACL).
