
Road closures are in place as emergency services battle an ‘ongoing fire’ in Hull.
Police have warned residents living in the area to close all windows and doors. Meanwhile, traffic reporting service Inrix, said that the A1033 Stoneferry Road is closed in both directions this morning.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Due to an ongoing fire which is being dealt with by emergency services, there are some current road closures in place in Hull. This is Stoneferry Road leading to Cleveland Street and Stoneferry Road leading to Chamberlain Road. Access to Foster Street is via the end of Cleveland Street.
“Please close all windows and doors if you live in the area. Please avoid the area where possible.”
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire Incident is still on going and road closures remain in place, there is still smoke in the area so keep windows closed. Please try to avoid the area if at all possible.”
