Hull City have some decisions to make over whether or not to take option years on some of their players after the conclusion of the Championship season.
Unlike in previous campaigns, City don’t have huge decisions to make with the future of Joao Pedro arguably the most interesting one to be made, but they must be made soon.
Pedro finished the season as the club’s top scorer with six goals and is coming to the end of his initial one-year deal, though City have the option to extend it by 12 months, which is a familiar club policy.
Arguably, the bigger decision facing the club is what happens with some of their loan players and whether or not they will have a longer-term future.
Joe Gelhardt has been the stand-out and Ruben Selles has made it clear that he wants the striker to return from Leeds United, after scoring five goals since joining from the Elland Road outfit in January. City also have a decision to make over Oscar Zambrano, now his ban has been reduced.
Fenerbahce midfielder Lincoln has spoken of his desire to remain at the MKM Stadium beyond the end of the season and it remains to be seen if that’s possible. Any hope of Louie Barry returning will depend on how he recovers from his latest injury setback.
There are plenty of decisions to be made over the coming days and weeks, and we want to hear from you. Would you keep any of the out-of-contract players or cut them loose? And would you like to see the Tigers look to bring back any of their loanees?
